Painting the floor

Today we painted the bottom floor in our place. how, could a beunhaas get this done without making a complete mess?

Spoiler alert; we did make a mess.

nahh, like, really… we did make a giant mess 😂

Getting the paint

Getting the right paint for the job is important, someone… probably said sometime.

Well, I think we did something like that too. we went for Epoxy concrete paint meant for garages. the paint we got can be found here, the guys there are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. they helped us out a lot over the chat and were able to deliver the paint super fast. huge thanks to them for helping us out!

Prepping the place

We started by removing everything out of the bottom floor in our place, all the tools, cars, and overall mess needed to get out.

Then we started sweeping the floors, getting all the big crap out of the place. little plugs, screws, you name it.

We noticed, that there still was a lot of dirt left, even after sweeping the floors a couple of times, so… we did the next bast thing. time to play with water! in true Dutch fashion we flooded the place and scrubbed it all clean.

Mannnn, never seen such a clean floor. Time to lay the paint down!

Laying down the p..... aint.

The painting itself went super nice, the paint was easy to mix and attached nicely to the floor. applying it was super easy too.

However, there was a fair bit of human error and aiming problems 😂 that was to be expected of us of course.

Thankfully, the paint is easy to clean off with the proper stuff so we are all good now.

Laying the paint down was a breeze with @Simon, We had a lot of fun!

The end result

For a couple of idiots and a weekends time, i say… we didn’t do too bad. it looks really nice.
